Turkmenistan 2011
Three large projects in TurkmenistanIn the presence of the President of Turkmenistan three hospitals are inaugurated in 2011 which have been completely equipped by hospitalia international: in July the Ophthalmology Hospital and the Traumatology Hospital. Both clinics increase the availability of high sophisticated medical care by two disciplines within the so called "Medical City" of Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. One month later, in August, also the Frontier Hospital opened its doors to provide medical care to the border control troups. Also this hospital is located in Ashgabat. -

China Expansion of activities in Chinatext im modalen dialog
- Supply of medical equipment to the People's Republic of China
In 2003 hospitalia international again expands its international business with new projects in China.
Several contracts for the supply of medical equipment in various provinces of the People's Republic of China are signed in 2003. The equipment is installed in a total of 20 hospitals as well as 194 CDCs (Centers of Disease Control), blood banks and hospital blood banks. Most of the projects were finished in less than 12 months.
The projects were financed through German soft loan provided by Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau in Frankfurt/Main.

2003 is an important year regarding activities in Indonesia: Current activities are successfully continued by signing several contracts (some of them consecutive contracts) for the supply of medical equipment to a number of medical facilities and hospitals in Semarang and in the Province of Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). After handing over service contracts for maintenance safeguard the smooth operation of the equipment thus ensuring the envisaged sustainability of investment - an important aspect for obtaining financing for these projects through German softloan provided by Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau.
Medical equipment is supplied to the general hospital R.S. Dr. Kariadi (1100 beds) in Semarang as well as five hospitals on three islands of Nusa Tenggara Timur Province (NTT). In the following year, 2004, a further contract is signed for NTT, providing 13 hospitals on five islands with medical equipment.

In November 1996 hospitalia international is awarded the contract for the turnkey erection of the S.A. Niyasov International Medical Center in the capital Ashgabat. It is the beginning of an intensive partnership for the building-up of a healthcare system in Turkmenistan. Until today the equipping of many hospitals and medical facilities is laid into the hands of hospitalia international.
The scope of responsibility for the turnkey erection of the S.A. Niyasov International Medical Center included conception, planning, erection as well as supply and installation of the complete medical and technical equipment of the hospital. The clinic provides for heart surgery and also includes a diagnostic center.

German Armed Forces Contract signed with the German Armed Forces1995
A first contract with the German Armed Forces is signed in October 1995. Ever since hospitalia international is a reliable partner and supplier of medical equipment to the Armed Forces.The contract signed is for the supply of the complete medical equipment required for the operating theaters of the Heart Surgery Dept. of the Military Hospital in Koblenz, a general hospital with about 500 beds.

Fresenius takes over ownership of hospitalia international gmbh from Siemens in early 1994. The company becomes part of the new division ProServe and moves the headquarters to Bad Homburg. -
1992
Russia First success in Russia1992

Due to progressive privatization and opening of the Russian economy as well as subsequent political reforms at the end of the Eighties, Russia is in need of a strong and experienced partner for the equipping of hospitals.
As early as 1991 hospitalia international signs contracts for the supply of medical equipment to two hospitals with a capacity of 1000 resp. 1100 beds with companies of the Russian gas industry. The equipment of the General Hospital Norilsk Nickel in the Krasnojarsk Region as well as the General Hospital Surgutneftegas in the Autonomous Region Khanty-Mansyisk is handed over to the client in 1992.
After such good start further contracts are signed and successfully executed in the following years.

As early as 1989 hospitalia international supplies medical and technical equipment to university hospitals in Greece, namely the University Hospital of Patras and the University Hospital of Ioannina with 700 beds each. After start of operation hospitalia international was also responsible for maintenance of the equipment during several years. Additional projects including planning and equipping of hospitals followed as e.g. the Henry Dunant Hospital in Athens at the end of the 1990ies.

Siemens takes over the shares pertaining to hospitalia international gmbh from Philips Gloelampenfabrieken BV, Eindhoven, Netherlands, and thus becomes sole shareholder of the company. -

King Saud University College Riyadh Successful projects and office in Saudi Arabia1983

- Opening of a teaching hospital in Saudi Arabia
hospitalia international takes over responsibility for the supply, installation and start of operation of the medical and technical equipment of the King Saud University College of Medicine and King Khalid Hospital in Riyadh, capital of Saudi Arabia. The 820-bed university and teaching hospital is handed over to the client in 1982 in full operating conditions.
In the following years hospitalia international manages the successful execution of projects within Saudi Arabia out of its own office in Riyadh, among them i.e. three 500-bed hospitals and nine 100-bed hospitals throughout the country.

In the 1980ies Colombia becomes an important center of activity due to a national program for modernization of healthcare facilities. More than 90 hospitals as well as 20 health centers receive medical equipment supplied and installed by hospitalia international.
The realization of this healthcare infrastructure scheme is supported and financed through German softloan provided by Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau in Frankfurt/Main.

In the course of executing a contract for the supply and installation of medical equipment to the University Hospital in Riberão Preto, a 650-bed teaching hospital of the University of São Paulo, hospitalia international opens up an office in Brazil in 1978. It becomes the starting point for several projects to follow.

Starting in the early 1970ies Libya progressively develops into an important center of activities for hospitalia international until the beginning of the 1990ies. The focus is on consultancy and equipping of hospitals throughout the country. All business activities are managed out of the new hospitalia office in Tripolis.

Nigeria Realization of national health plan1969
Within the frame of a national health plan more than 40 hospitals with an inpatient capacity between 36 and 700 beds are provided with medical equipment by hospitalia international until 1979.Also in Nigeria a hospitalia office is established for the professional management and successful execution of the many projects.

In 1964 hospitalia international signs a contract for the construction and equipping of seven hospitals as well as the rehabilitation and equipping of two further hospitals in consortium with a construction company. Part of the contract is also the supply of medical equipment to seven health centers, 50 sanitary stations and 50 rural medical stations. In June 1964 and July 1967 consecutive contracts for the equipping of additional hospitals with different inpatient capacities are concluded.
