Hospitalia International

In the course of several years different sections of the military hospital in Berlin have been newly planned or re-designed and provided with medical equipment of the latest state of the art. This referred i.a. to the rehabilitation of House 1.3 with extension of the OT Dept., Endoscopy Dept., Uro-radiological unit incl. lithotripsy and rehabilitation of wards. Part of the undertaking was as well the rebuilding of House 1.7 comprising Radiology, ICU, General Ward and Infectious Diseases Ward Level S2 / S3.

Reconstruction and rehabilitation measures are still ongoing such as rebuilding of Emergency Ward and rehabilitation of House 1.1 (Wards) and relating examination facilities.

The Russian gas company Gazprom has built a polyclinic with integrated sports clinic in the heart of Moscow designated for the treatment of Gazprom employees. hospitalia international provided the entire medical and technical equipment for this facility. At the end of the warranty period a separate maintenance contract with a duration of four years was signed.

The Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center is a genuine heart clinic built by the private Alexander S. Onassis Foundation in Athens. Accordingly, in terms of medical equipment the main focus was on the high sophisticated equipment of several heart surgery OTs which also allowed for complicated surgical interventions. The Foundation also emphasized adequate training of local staff in the proper use as well as  maintenance of  the medical equipment.

Around 200 km to the South of Moscow, in one of the largest forests of Russia, a diagnostic center with integrated sanatorium was built for the mining company Norilsk Nickel. In addition to the supply of medical and technical equipment also a special Homeopathy Department was equipped. Furthermore, a laboratory specialized in the examination of agricultural products was supplied; the Russian staff received a training in a German laboratory.

After the reunification at the end of the 1980ies also the facilities of the German Armed Forces of the FRG as well as the former GDR had to be taken care of. In the course of these activities the military hospital in Leipzig was incorporated into the existing structure. Subsequently it was transformed step by step into a military hospital according to the prevailing standards of the Armed Forces of the FRG. This comprised as well an extensive modernization. In this process hospitalia international was responsible for the planning as well as subsequent supply and installation of the medical and technical equipment. Furthermore, hospitalia international undertook the planning und execution of relocating existing equipment.

The General Hospital Neftejugansk is a general hospital for the Oblast Khanty-Mansyisk Region. The health facility focuses on preventive examinations and minor surgery with equipment according to Western standards. 

The Charitable Foundation Henry Dunant, a foundation of the Greek Red Cross, has built a 350-bed hospital in the very center of Athens, equipped with most modern medical equipment. In particular the Diagnostic Dept. was equipped with such high sophisticated devices as e.g. a MR, a CT and an angiography unit. After start of operation in 1999 hospitalia international secured the permanent operational availability through a contract for preventive and corrective maintenance covering the equipment supplied.

The mining company Norilsk Nickel built this 1000-bed hospital in the city of Norilsk in Northern Siberia which is located close to Polar Circle and not far from the Jenissei river estuary. hospitalia international supplied part of the equipment as well as consumables to a larger extent and software for a storage program.

For the private transplantation center of the Turkish Kidney Foundation hospitalia international elaborated the planning for both the medical equipment requirements as well as the start-up phase. The consultancy contract also comprised a comprehensive service and maintenance concept. The transplantation center was opened in 2000 under the name "Hizmet Hospital".

The National Health Service (NHS) in Lanarkshire county comprises three hospitals. The New Hairmyres General Hospital (492 beds)  and the Wishaw General Hospital (626 beds) were newly erected under a PFI scheme (Private Financing Initiative). For these two health facilities hospitalia international provided consultancy services and supplied the entire medical equipment and furthermore supervised the start-up process. The third hospital, namely Monklands Hospital with 535 beds, was supplied with new equipment for the radiology clinic.
